NOURISH LIVES

Ramadan is a month that Muslims around the world eagerly anticipate each year with great enthusiasm and anticipation. Ramadan 2025 arrives during a time of profound global hardship and suffering, reminding us to turn to Allah (swt) with sincere supplication for His mercy. It is one of the most significant and spiritually rewarding times of the year, focused on devotion, compassion, and the opportunity to draw closer to Allah (swt). This month offers the perfect occasion for us to seek forgiveness, reflect on our own blessings, and extend a helping hand to those in need.

Ramadan invites us to pause and truly appreciate how fortunate we are, encouraging us to connect with the struggles of those living in impoverished communities, such as those in Palestine, Yemen, Lebanon, Bangladesh, Pakistan, and East Africa, who face hardships and suffering every day. It is a time of charity, and the rewards for giving during Ramadan are multiplied, bringing barakah and blessings.

Alhamdulillah, through our Ramadan Appeal 2025, we are working to alleviate hunger and support those in need across the globe.

We urge you to support our Ramadan Appeal today and offer your Zakat to those who need it the most. By joining us, you will be answering the call of vulnerable communities worldwide. Your donation this Ramadan can make a tremendous difference, ensuring that many more people are supported through this blessed month, and they are able to celebrate Eid 2025 with joy and dignity.

While many of us consciously choose to fast from food during daylight hours, the reality for millions of people around the world is vastly different. They face hunger each day, and for countless individuals, there is no iftar to look forward to. Your Ramadan charity can help tackle hunger and provide sustenance to those who desperately need it.

Globally, 795 million people are going hungry every single day. They live in uncertainty, unsure of when they will have their next meal. Chronic hunger and malnutrition affect 1 in 12 people worldwide, leaving them unable to receive the necessary nutrients to survive and thrive. This situation is worsening, particularly in conflict zones like Palestine and Yemen, where millions face the daily threat of starvation.

Your support can help bring hope and relief to those enduring unimaginable suffering. Together, we can make a lasting impact.

People living in refugee camps across Lebanon, Yemen, and Palestine, as well as those in rural poverty in Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Uganda, are deprived of basic necessities like food, clean water, and healthcare.

Our Ramadan Appeal 2025 seeks to alleviate the suffering of those who need it most, ensuring that no one is left behind in this blessed month.

This Ramadan, we ask you to fulfill your Zakat obligations and donate to our Ramadan Appeal to support the most vulnerable communities. Your Ramadan donation is urgently needed. Zakat, a beautiful obligation for every adult, sane Muslim who possesses wealth above the nisab value, requires you to give 2.5% of your wealth to those in need. Your Zakat has the power to save lives, empower futures, and help countless people break free from the cycle of poverty.

For many, Ramadan and Eid 2025 will be a time of great hardship, as they struggle to find food and truly experience the blessings of the month. Your Zakat can provide a family in poverty with access to clean water that could save their lives. It can provide food, shelter, education, healthcare, and the means for a sustainable livelihood, offering a lifeline and a fresh start.

Don’t hesitate—donate to our Ramadan Appeal 2025 today.

In our faith, we are taught that during Ramadan, the reward for every good deed is multiplied 70 times by Allah (swt). This means that every act of worship, every generous donation, every meal shared, is as though it has been done 70 times! This incredible multiplication of rewards makes Ramadan charity even more precious.

Seize this opportunity to maximize your rewards—donate today.

Your donations will help lift entire communities out of poverty, providing sustainable, long-term solutions to hunger, thirst, and poverty.

Zakat

Zakat is a mandatory charitable obligation for eligible Muslims, based on their accumulated wealth over a lunar year. It is considered one of the five pillars of Islam and is meant to purify one’s wealth, promote social justice, and help those in need. The assets that are subject to Zakat include cash, gold, silver, business assets, and agricultural products.

Fidyah

Fidyah refers to a mandatory charity contribution to make up for missed fasts. This can only be paid if you have a valid reason for not fasting and can’t make up for missed fasts later. Contributing your Fidyah amount of 2024 for not fasting will feed someone living in poverty twice or help to provide two impoverished people with a meal each.

Sadaqah Jariyah

Sadaqah Jariyah is highly regarded in Islam because it represents a way to earn continuous rewards even after one’s lifetime. It is seen to attain spiritual growth, and purification, and a means of helping others while strengthening one’s connection with Allah. Examples of Sadaqah Jariyah include building mosques, digging wells, funding educational initiatives, supporting healthcare facilities, planting trees, and contributing to projects that provide long-term benefits to communities.

Kaffarah

Kaffarah is a donation made when you deliberately miss or break your fast during the month of Ramadan without a valid reason. Kaffarah is not an obligatory contribution as you can choose to fast continuously for 60 days, although if you intentionally miss or break another fast, you must begin the 60 days again. The Kaffarah contribution is used to feed 60 people living in poverty.

Fitrana

Zakat ul-Fitr, Fitrana, or Fitrah, is a form of charity given to the poor at the end of Ramadan. Fitrana is due to every member of a household, including any children or elderly people. It is obligatory to pay before Eid Salah. All Muslims must pay Zakat ul Fitr regardless of their age or financial status unless they honestly do not have the means to do so.
